Sign up for Irish Quiz League season 2 before March 25th

Back by popular demand, the second season of our weekly Zoom-based Irish Quiz League is now open for registration, until Friday March 25th.

All individuals and teams are now welcome to sign up using our online registration form.

Here’s what you need to know about the Irish Quiz League:

  • Tournament is open to all quizzers in Ireland and beyond
  • Matches will take place over Zoom every Monday* night during April, May and June.
  • Matches will be between two teams of four. However, team “squads” can be made up of more than four players (minimum of six squad members recommended)
  • Matches last approx 90 minutes and happen at a time mutually agreed with your opponents (8pm or 9pm most commonly)
  • The cost of entry will be €60 per squad, regardless of size
  • Starting in season 2, the league will feature at least two vertical divisions, with divisions grouped by ability where possible. The winners of Division 1 will be the IQL champions whilst promotion and relegation will be in effect between the bottom of Div 1 and the top of Div 2.
  • There will be cash prizes for the top two teams in each division. Last season our league champions Interprovinziale scooped a €300 cash prize!

* Matches can also take place during the preceding weekend, if agreed between the teams involved.

To register for the league as a team or an individual, please fill in our signup form by Friday 25th March at the latest.

By the way – before anyone asks “when is Dublin Quiz League coming back to pubs?” it currently looks most likely to happen in September, for a number of different reasons. For those of you patiently waiting, why not come and play on Zoom instead?
