See also: Brain of Dublin, our new individual tournament launched in 2019 which runs in parallel with the Dublin Quiz League.
Founded in 2015, the Dublin Quiz League (DQL) is a monthly competition where teams of 4 compete against each other in a series of quiz “matches” – basically an easier and more fun version of University Challenge (without the buzzers). At the end of the 7-month season, the top teams win cash prizes!
Matches are held in a Dublin city centre pub on one Monday evening every month, usually between September and April.
The entry fee (to cover the full quiz season) is €60 per team of 4, or €15 per person.
We have a total prize fund of over €1,000 per season and usually the top two teams in each division win cash prizes. (The exact value of the cash prizes are determined by the number of teams & are announced sometime after the season starts.)

We do plan to restart the league when COVID-19 event restrictions are removed – watch this space for any announcements on a new season or email firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the mailing list.
