Founded in 2015, the Dublin Quiz League (DQL) is a monthly competition where teams of 4 compete against each other in a series of quiz “matches” – basically an easier and more fun version of University Challenge (without the buzzers). At the end of the 7-month season, the top teams win cash prizes!
Matches are held in a Dublin city centre pub on one Monday evening every month, usually between September and April.
The entry fee (to cover the full quiz season) is €60 per team of 4, or €15 per person.
We usually have a total prize fund of around €1,000 per season with generally the top two teams in each division winning cash prizes. (The exact value of the cash prizes are determined by the number of teams & are announced sometime after the season starts.)

Current league season
The eighth season of DQL kicked off in December 2023 with 19 teams and ran until May 2024. If you missed the boat and would like to sign up for a future season (or even as a sub for the current season), email us at league (at) quizireland (dot) ie to be added to the mailing list.
