Take on the world in Dublin or Belfast!

Established in 2003, the World Quizzing Championships is the oldest quizzing event on our calendar and still one of the most popular. It sees thousands of people gather in dozens of venues worldwide to vie for the title of World Quizzing Champion.

New players are always welcome: if you haven’t played before, the WQC is a solo written quiz, consisting of 240 questions across two papers, each one taking 1 hour to complete. The papers are divided into 8 topics, covering a wide spread of subject areas: Arts, History, Film, Music, Science, Geography, Sport, etc. etc.

Irish quizzers have a choice of 2 locations in which to take the quiz:

  • Dublin venue: Held at our regular venue the Terenure Badminton Centre, this is hosted directly by the IQO and will kick off at 11am sharp (we recommend arriving for 10.30 to allow time for registration). The main event will be supplemented by a fun team quiz afterwards to make up a full day of quizzing, ending at approx 5pm. The cost is €10, payable via cash or Revolut on the day. More details on the event page.
  • Quizzers up North can also take the quiz in Belfast, where the event will be held in the Stormont Pavilion. Once again doors open at 10.30am with the quiz kicking off at 11am sharp. The cost is £15, payable on the day.

Whichever venue you plan to go to, please pre-register by going to www.worldquizzing.com, click Register Now and find your chosen venue. This is important to ensure we have enough printed copies of the quiz for everyone who wants to attend.
