Details of the 2026 Celtic Nations Quizzing Championships have been announced and registration is now open at: celticnationsquiz.com
First held in 2013, this much-loved annual event sees Ireland compete against Scotland and Wales in a weekend-long three-way tournament. Hosting duties rotate between the three countries, so this year it’s the turn of Wales to host, and full details of the event have now been confirmed.
It takes place on the weekend of April 18th-19th (two weeks after Easter), in the usual Welsh location of the Leonardo Hotel, in Cardiff city centre.
The tournament takes place over 2 days and consists of various individuals, pairs and team quizzes. All Irish quizzers are welcome to come along and take part in the individual and pairs events – participation in the teams quizzes is chosen by a selection panel and is mainly based on the Irish quiz rankings.
