The 4th annual Irish Open quiz took place on Saturday 24th September 2016 in our usual venue of The Addison Lodge, Glasnevin. It was the first time the event was held in Autumn (previously it had been February / March) and September would henceforth become the traditional slot for this event.
30 quizzers took part, and in a closely fought battle Mark Henry emerged triumphant with 173 points to take the title for the first time, seeing off past winners Lorcan Duff & Dave McBryan, and a strong challenge from British quizzers Anne Hegerty and Rob Sutherland who travelled over to Ireland specially for the event.
We were also delighted to have 106 people taking part in satellite venues around the world, with the top international score of 152 points achieved by Dorjana Širola in Croatia.
