The IQO are delighted to announce that we’ll be starting a new season of Dublin Quiz League before Christmas!
This will be the 8th season of the capital’s monthly team quiz tournament originally set up in 2015. All teams and players new and old are invited to join us for 6 months of quizzing fun with the possibility of great cash prizes.

All interested teams or individuals should fill out this form by Friday December 1st. (If signing up as an individual we will allocate you to an available team)
The cost per season is €60 for a team (minimum of 4 people) or €15 for an individual. Most of the takings go to fund the league’s cash prizes – last season we had a top prize of €300 for the league champions and a total prize fund of nearly €1,000!
Here are the first two key dates for your diary:
Monday November 27th: DQL Open Night in the Parnell Heritage Bar, Parnell Street from 7.30pm
This is a casual night for new players and teams to come along and see how the League works. We’ll explain the rules and play a practice game so people can “try before they buy”. Remember you don’t need a team, you can come along as an individual (or a pair etc) and we’ll sort you out with teammates on the night. Further details on our Open Night event page.
Monday December 11th – League kickoff
This will be the first night of the League proper. Exact venues to be confirmed (since it depends on how many teams sign up) but we’re highly likely to use the same two venues as last year: The Parnell on Parnell St and TP Smith’s on Jervis St.
The rest of the league schedule will also be confirmed when we know how many teams we have, but the season will probably run from December to May, with matches occurring monthly on one Monday night in the first half of each month.
Also this year we intend to run the Brain of Dublin individual tournament once again – like the original version 4 years ago, this would be a separate competition run in parallel to the league season and is open to all quizzers whether you play in the League or not. Qualifiers will likely be in Jan/Feb – more details to follow.
