Founded in 2015, the Dublin Quiz League (DQL) is a monthly competition where teams of 4 compete against each other in a series of quiz “matches” – basically an easier and more fun version of University Challenge (without the buzzers). At the end of the 6-month season, the top teams win cash prizes!
Matches are held in a Dublin city centre pub on one Monday evening every month between December and May inclusive.
The entry fee (to cover the full quiz season) is €60 per team of 4, or €15 per person.
We usually have a total prize fund of around €1,000 per season with generally the top two teams in each division winning cash prizes. (The exact value of the cash prizes are determined by the number of teams & are announced sometime after the season starts.)
